If you are signing up for the King & Queen Competition, please read the rules and regulations below.

  1. Contestants who enter must be a couple; a couple is defined as two people who are married, engaged, or otherwise romantically paired.
  2. NO portion of the contestant’s attire or behavior may contain explicit or offensive material or actions.
  3. No contestant may be carrying a dangerous weapon as a part of their attire.
  4. Voting and final decisions are made by a panel of judges. The votes will be tallied and the contestants with the highest number of votes and audience applause will be proclaimed the winner of the competition. All decisions are final.
  5. By entering the King & Queen Contest, you are giving permission for the use of any/all photos Iowa Irish Fest may take for publicity purposes.

I have read all the rules and regulations stated above and agree to follow such rules. I understand that during the contest, I am a representative of the Iowa Irish Fest and will conduct myself in a manner that represents the Iowa Irish Fest’s mission and values.

The King & Queen Competition will take place at the Nagle Sign/KWWL Stage located on Park Avenue on Friday, August 2nd, at 8:15 p.m. Please make sure you show up and check in 15 minutes BEFORE the competition starts.

The "Best Legs in a Kilt" Contest will take place at the Lincoln Savings Bank Stage on Saturday, August 3rd. The competition begins at 8:15 p.m. Please make sure you show up 15 minutes BEFORE the competition start time.

If you are signing up for the Prince & Princess Competition, please read the rules and regulations below.

  1. Contestants must be no younger than 5 years of age and no older than 13 years of age to compete.
  2. Contestants are encouraged to dress in festive Irish attire.
  3. Parents/guardians of contestants must accompany contestants during the competition and/or any additional engagements with the Iowa Irish Fest.
  4. Voting and final decisions are made by a panel of judges. The votes will be tallied and the contestants with the highest number of votes and audience applause will be proclaimed the winner of the competition. All decisions are final.
  5. By entering the Prince and Princess Contest, you are giving permission for the use of any/all photos Iowa Irish Fest may take for publicity purposes.
