Sunday Morning Mass At Irish Fest
August 4th at 10am in Lincoln Park
The 18th annual Iowa Irish Fest in Waterloo, Iowa will once again include an outdoor Catholic Mass. It will be held at 10:00 AM Sunday morning August the 4th in Lincoln Park on the corner of Franklin Street and Park Avenue. All persons of all denominations and faith are invited. There are bleachers but it would be best to bring a lawn chair. Prior to the Mass admission to the grounds will be two items of canned foods or non-perishable products (until 10 AM). This will allow you to stay for all events for the entire day if you choose to do so. Your donations will be given to the Northeast Iowa Food Bank. At 10:00 am the cost to enter the fest grounds will be $35 regular admission. We welcome all members of local parishes and churches, to bring your own envelopes to be deposited in the collection basket. We will distribute them to your respective parishes and churches. All other monies will be donated to the St. Vincent DePaul Society. We invite all to join us in this celebration.
Our presider will be the Father Mark Murphy.
God Bless. Hope to see everyone Sunday morning for Mass at 10:00AM.
All vendors will open immediately following the conclusion of the Mass.
Please Note: If you plan on setting up lawn chairs at the fest, we ask that you do not leave them over night. Unattended Chairs will be collected and placed at the lost and found each night at fest close.
